Health, Safety and Hygiene
Happy Land Early Childhood Centre adheres to both the UAE National Childcare Standards and UK Welfare Standards to consistently uphold the highest levels of health and safety.
Safety Measures
At Happy Land Early Childhood Centre, the health and safety of our community are paramount. We have rigorous policies for handwashing, nappy changing, illness management, and environmental sanitization. Our housekeepers use non-toxic cleaning agents daily, and we conduct regular health and safety checks to guide practices.
Staff receive Level 1 Child Protection and Safeguarding training, while the Centre Manager, as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, holds a Level 5 Certificate. Our staff are also trained in pediatric first aid and updated on incident handling. We have policies and conduct emergency drills for procedures such as evacuation, lockdown, and managing contagious diseases.
Children who feel unwell during the day are cared for in the clinic until a parent or guardian arrives. Additionally, our nursery is regularly inspected by the KHDA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and Ministry of Labor.
Security Measures
Happy Land Early Childhood Centre employs an intercom system for secure building access, allowing entry only through a controlled entry point. Visitor credentials and government-issued ID are verified before granting access. CCTV cameras are installed throughout the building, with live feeds monitored in the Happy land Centre Manager’s office to ensure safety in common areas.
